Libertarian plans different kind of Election Night

Libertarian candidate Phil Maymin thinks his Election Night should be a slam dunk.
While the Republican and Democratic candidates in the tight race for the 4th Congressional District seat will sweat it out tonight at hotels, Maymin plans to break a sweat at Sportsplex in Stamford.
Maymin has advised supporters and volunteers to dress in hightop sneakers and gym shorts because he has reserved a basketball court at the Sportsplex to use while awaiting results.
The Sportsplex's swimming pool also will be available. Towels will be provided, Maymin said.
"We're just looking to have some fun," he said. "We're not your traditional political party."
Since petitioning his way onto the ballot earlier this year, Maymin has centered his campaign on distinguishing himself from the two major party candidates, incumbent U.S. Rep. Christopher Shays, R-Bridgeport, and Democrat Diane Farrell, a former Westport first selectwoman.
Polls show the contest will be tight, though Maymin hasn't registered as a factor in the race.
The most recent Hartford Courant/University of Connecticut poll shows Shays and Farrell each receiving 43 percent of the vote with 9 percent undecided.
"Other" candidates received 1 percent of the vote. Maymin has said the polls are flawed because they fail to mention him as a candidate by name like they do with Shays and Farrell.
Maymin plans to vote at 8:30 a.m. today at Central Middle School in the Cos Cob section of Greenwich before hitting the campaign trail for one last day.
Shays and Farrell will spend Election Night in the same places they were two years ago when they squared off for the first time. Shays will be with supporters at the Norwalk Inn & Conference Center; Farrell will be at the Inn at Longshore in Westport.
Farrell will vote at 6:15 a.m. at Coleytown Middle School in Westport. Shays will vote this morning at Black Rock School in Bridgeport.
